Liaison psychiatry
Within the liaison psychiatry, the aim is to reduce the separation between psychiatry and the rest of medicine. In this way we try to improve the care for patients with mental and physical disorders. Our psychiatrist focuses on psychological disorders that occur in patients with physical ailments.
In this context, the psychiatrist acts as a consultant or plays a supporting role in the treatment.
This department is used as an internal referral channel. The consultation takes place at the request of the patient's attending physician.
