Consultation

Our hospital offers a wide range of specialised medical care. You will find all the practical information regarding your consultation and examination below.

  • How do I make an appointment?

    Online appointment

For most types of specialised care you can make an appointment online via your digital patient file that is available via the mynexuzhealth app.

Please note: through your account, you will only be able to make an appointment for yourself. Do you want to make an appointment for your partner, parent or child? Then you can find more information here.

    Appointment by telephone

Would you rather make an appointment by telephone? You can contact our appointment centre on 016 20 92 09 (available on working days between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.).

  • Do I need a referral from my GP to make an appointment?

You do not need a referral letter for most consultations. Nevertheless, it is best to consult your doctor before calling on a specialist. Your doctor is your first point of contact when it comes to your health. What's more, if a GP refers you, your consultation will also be cheaper in some cases.

  • How much will my consultation or examination cost?

  • How should I prepare for the meeting with my doctor?

    Before your consultation

Think about what your main concerns are and which questions you definitely want answered. To make sure you don't forget anything, you can make a list in advance with your complaints and/or symptoms, the steps you've already taken, medication you are taking, the doctors you have spoken to previously and so on.

    During your consultation

Approach this as an open dialogue with your doctor. Briefly explain your complaints and concerns, answer your doctor's questions honestly and ask questions where necessary. Feel free to refer to the notes you made in preparation for this appointment. The better the communication between doctor and patient, the better your doctor will be able to help you.

The three key questions during your consultation

As a patient you have the right to clear, correct and complete information. With the next three questions, you invite your doctor to share all that information. That way, you will be well informed and as a patient you will ultimately be able to make the right decision.

    • What's the problem?
    • What are the (treatment) options?
    • What does this mean for me?

  • What if it looks like I may be late?

If for some reason you cannot keep the appointment, please contact the appointment centre (016 20 92 09). Your attending physician will decide whether it is still possible to see you or whether a new appointment needs to be made. If your doctor can still see you, your waiting time may increase.

Don't forget to register at the reception. This way, your doctor knows that you are present in the hospital.
